Microarray Facility Clone Resources
NIA: 15k (Mouse) The NIA clone set is primarily a gene discovery set of cDNAs obtained from the NIH-NIA initiative. It consists of 155 x 96 well plates. The NIH-NIA project has recently re-sequenced the entire clone set making this an excellent clone resource for arrays.
Compugen 19k (Human) The Compugen 19k human set is a set of 60mer oligonucleotides used only for arraying. EST and cDNA sequences are assembled into clusters, and an oligo is designed to detect all members of each cluster.
Compugen 22k (Mouse) The Compugen 22k mouse set is a set of 65mer oligonucleotides used only for arraying. EST and cDNA sequences are assembled into clusters, and an oligo is designed to detect all members of each cluster. The 22k set is a combination of the original 7.5k set and the 14.5k extension set.
ResGen IMAGE set: 5k (Mouse) This clone set was generated by the I.M.A.G.E. Consortium. Thousands of cDNA clones have been sequenced by Washington University and the information has been deposited with NCBI. Clones were selected for this set on the basis of UniGene clustering. This clone set has been made available as part of the ACRF DNA initiative.
ResGen: 8k (Human) This set is a sequence-verified set of clones from I.M.A.G.E. consortium human cDNAs which correspond to known genes. This clone set has been made available as part of the ACRF DNA initiative.
BMAP: 11.5k (Mouse) This cDNA set was derived from individually tagged and normalized cDNA libraries from ten regions of the mouse brain and the spinal cord. These libraries were mixed and serially subtracted to minimize redundant identification of the most common ESTs while enhancing the representation of the rarest cDNAs likely to be missed in more random EST-based gene discovery strategies. This clone set has been made available as part of the ACRF DNA initiative.
FANTOM 3: (Mouse)The FANTOM 3 set contains 103,000 fully sequenced cDNA clones with additional annotation data including Cap-analysis gene expression (CAGE) data, which allows high-throughput gene expression analysis and the profiling of transcriptional start sites, including promoter usage analysis, Gene Identification Signature (GIS) and Genome Signature Cloning (GSC) data is also included which allows identification of mRNA variants and rare transcripts.
FANTOM 2: 60k (Mouse) This cDNA set consists of the original 21k FANTOM 1 clones plus a further 39k more selected from the full length cDNAs produced by the Genome Exploration Research Group at RIKEN's Genomic Sciences Centre.
RIKEN 1st release: 12k (Mouse) RIKEN mouse cDNA clones were established by the Genome Exploration Research Group at RIKEN's Genomic Sciences Centre using the full-length cDNA technology.
